  • EP45C-DS3 Vcore steps ??

Im in my first,s overcloking steps. Call me idiot but how I must to do for increase my Vcore. I need 1.33 v on the Bios . What I see on Bios concerning Vcore
    is:
    Vcore 1.250v ( default)
    When I change to normal the windows displays;
    Auto or normal and below that;
    0.50000
    0.50625
    0.51250
    0.51875
    0.52500
    0.53125
Im trying to overclok a QX9650 whit 2x2 Gb Ram DDR 3 . My main problem is I can,t go any higer 360 FSB. Till 360 all is fine, but whit the default values thats the max FSB I can reach. and I want to test increasing the Vcore. Thanks guys.

    Re: EP45C-DS3 Vcore steps ??

    The value should be absolute.
Type 1.25 then you can increase/decreasw with page up/down keys

EDIT: the list is scrollable it is just faster entering it directly.
EDIT2: some values are best set manually and not left on auto, read http://forums.tweaktown.com/295784-post5.html

      Re: EP45C-DS3 Vcore steps ?? Overcloking a qx9650

Yes thanks. I scroll up and down , perfect. I finally I can reach 400 FSB stable. Now the problem is the RAM. Im using 2x2gb Corsair DDR3 at 1600. The 400 FSB RAM multiplier go to x4 to get 400x4=1600 but I get only 3xx400 beacouse at x4 I cant boot the PC.... I guess I must change more thinks but I am mislead !!! whit that nw problem and I don know how to resolve this problem

          Vcore: 1.3375 v
          CPU Termination: 1.300 V
          MCH Core: 1.200 V
          VDRAM: 1.800 v
I cant go in the RAM with 400x4=1600, Max is 400x3.3D=1333.4. Every time I go to x4 to reach 1600 the pc not boot up and the Bios reset,s. I have a manual insert for the Corsair latency.s even the VDRAM ( 1,8 v). Corsair XMS3 DHX CM3X2G1600C9DHX. ( 9-9-9-24)

I am looking at thememory support list and the modules that were tested for DDR-1600 are DDR-2000 mudules.
            What is the BIOS version?

et me tell you my last test. I have increased de FSB to 450 ( stable) , With this FSB the Ram is 1500 almost 1600. My CPU multiplier is 8 that means I have the micro in 3.6 Ghz. whit a RAM 1500. In my opinion the basic problem is this x4 multiplier. If I use x3.3 as you see no problemes , Why x4 dont work? I dont know but it seems dont like my MB. The RAM comes up to 1500 and probably 1600 increasing the FSB but not with x4 multiplier, to me the best must be FSB 400 and Ram 400X4= 1600. BUt no way whit this multi. Any idea??

Edited. It seems 450 is no really stable and some times the Pc dont boot. I have reduced to 445 and for the moment is OK. I have also switched the Frecuency Memory Latch to 333 and 3.20 multiplier. This config geve me a 1420 RAM with 5:8 divider.

                Re: EP45C-DS3 Vcore steps ??

You can try other strap multipliers as well, maybe 4.00B will work or 3.33C.
Try increasing MCH Core, 1.24v or more is often needed for 400+MHz FSB, and/or more than 2x1GB memory configurations.

Don't leave CPU PLL on auto, set it to default or one step higher.

You really need to fill out the full template, you left out settings we need to see to be sure you are starting in the right place.

Mainly this, please fill out with the settings you see in the BIOS
Advanced Clock Control ------- [Press Enter]
                  CPU Clock Drive ---------------------- : [???]
                  PCI Express Clock Drive -------------- : [???]
                  CPU Clock Skew (ps) ------------------ : [???]
                  MCH Clock Skew (ps) ------------------ : [???]

Your best bet is to use 3.33D, then you will need to make several other changes and increase your overclock to 480 if you want 1600. This may not be possible for you, and you may not be able to use the 4.00B multi with your memory, so you may have to settle with 1500Mhz range.

I set CPU PLL in 1.54 manual now. ( the default value was 1.500)
The 4.00B multiplier crash de sytem even if I select 333 or 400 the Frecuency Latch Memory. No way to use this multiplier about 350 FSB

You may need more MCH Core, and/or VTT, and/or adjust MC/CPU references.
