With RAID 5 you should be able to rebuild. If you do not have Intel Matrix Storage Manager installed please install it now, then when you open the program it should tell you it will rebuild the array.

Of course you need to set the BIOS back to RAID if you did not already, then the program should do the rest for you.

To check what speed your memory is running you can use CPU-z, look in the Memory tab (NOT SPD) and see what it says. If it says 533Mhz then that is 1066
CPU-Z for Windows® x86/x64 is a freeware that gathers information on some of the main devices of your system : Processor name and number, codename, process, package, cache levels. Mainboard and chipset. Memory type, size, timings, and module specifications (SPD). Real time measurement of each core's internal frequency, memory frequency. CPU-Z is fully supported on Windows® 11. The CPU-Z‘s detection engine is now available for customized use through the CPUID System Information Development Kit, a professional SDK built for the Microsoft Windows & Android.

      K. I ran tests on channels A and B with 2 sticks in each then i swapped for the other two sticks. Both passed IBT Standard, High, and Maximum. Is there any additional testing i need to do before i try and boot with all 4 sticks. If not then what setting do you recommend i boot all 4 sticks with.

Re: HELP! UD3P+QX6700+Corsair 2x2048-8500C5D keeps crashing please help tryed everyth

With 8GB of memory, I suggest that you start with your memory at 800MHz using 4-4-4-12 primary timings. MCH Core voltage will probably require 1.22 - 1.26 volts, with tRFC in the mid 50 range.

Some systems can run 1066 memory speeds, others have to run with memory speeds in the 900 - 1000MHz range. MCH Core at higher memory speeds often requires MCH Core voltage in the 1.28 - 1.32 range. Once your system is stable at 800MHz, you can try the 4.00A memory multiplier, with higher MCH Core voltage and 5-5-5-15 timings to quickly see if you can run your memory at 1066MHz. At 800MHz, tRFC = 52 - 56 should be stable. At 1066MHz, tRFC = 72 - 74 should be stable.

Your best overall system performance will be with higher cpu speeds, even if you need to run somewhat lower memory speeds.
Most games or applications will have nearly identical performance with 800MHz and 4-4-4-12 timings versus 1066MHz and 5-5-5-15 timings.

You should post your most recent bios settings and full screen-shot after each test so that we know exactly what settings were used, so that we can best advise what bios changes will be needed for the next step. Be sure to post core temperatures during your stress testing, along with detailed error messages.

            Mornin ExoD...

I've been following your thread as we seem to have similar setups (same CPU anyway)
The kind folks here have helped me for the last couple of weeks dialing in settings to achieve almost the same thing you're going for.
I feel your pain on how hot these chips run. I can't even entertain the thought of OC beyond 2.93Ghz which is only 1 bump on the multiplier.
At 2.93Ghz and 8GB of OCZ PC9200 running at 1066 I just completed 9-10 hours of Prime95 Blend with no errors and Memtest for 3hrs with no errors! wOOt!
Anyway I thought I'd share where we've landed so far in BIOS settings in case there's anything here that may help.

Obviously, these guys might have different recommendations so by all means go with what they say. I'm only posting my results as a comparison to try to help.
I'm just stoked it's finally running stable with all 8GB RAM.

What cooling solution are looking at? I'm hoping to get the Swiftech H2O-220 Ultima XT, but another member here recommended I scrap liquid cooling and just get a different CPU (Q9550 or something similar).
I see the point, but am kinda partial to the eye candy the liquid offers. :) Not sure yet which way to go...it'll be a little bit till I have the $300 to throw at the problem.

            Good luck with yer system!

If you need more help, please give us the full settings you are trying then we can advise back.

I say that, because I am a bit behind in threads today, so I thought you may already have started tweaking and overclocking. So just wanted to see where you are already now before advising.

Tested Slots 1/3 and 2/4 with both sets of ram. They passed all the IBT tests standard, High, and Max.
Max Temp was 151 on the IBT Stress Tests.
Jerm -- Thanks for your post i will check those settings if i can get these to work.

You have speedstep enabled, this is going to cause you problems most likely, even at stock sometimes this hinders performance and tweaking.

Settings look good though aside from that
