Its a very strange problem and an RMA is not what i want to do if i can avoid it. I have had my core i7 sitting at 3.8 and stable for a few weeks since i got my new cooler. volts were 1.25. Today i tried to turn my computer on and the computer juts loop constanly with all the lights on the motherboard bright red or what ever colours they are im colour blind lol. i reset the cmos. did the old screw driver trick touching the 4 pins which got it booting again. my board will just not let me oc anymore. even if i turn the base clock to 140 which is 2.8 and reboot, i get a constant loop. im going out of my mind its driving me crazy. I have tried different bios, ive never updated bios from usb or floppy only @bios i know im going to get moaned at but it didnt ever break my stuff. Im just unsure why its not OCing anymore or what i can do to fix the problem? when i reset it i sometimes cmos checksum error-default profile loaded? currently have the F2 BIOS loaded i have tried F9 and F4 is it me or have gigabyte renamed their bios a few times over last few months? their were beta bios but no more. Another thing when i first got my motherboard my ram timings were being read at their correct timings of 9-9-9-24 for few months they have been read at 8-8-8-24?

I have had the battery out for about 15 mins surely that is enough? what is the best way to do the cmos reset? take battery out with power cord still in the pc with switch up? or cord out?Last edited by dmxdex2020; 02-14-2010, 07:17 PM.Core i7 C0, gigabyte UD3R x58 mobo, corsair 6gb DDR3 1333 memory, corsair 750W HX psu, asus xonar dx sound card, WD 500gb 32mb cache hdd.

Re: UD3R X58 will not OC? anymore help needed.
I auto downloaded the file through @bios only one file came up for F9 which just says my revision is 1.0 nothing about SLI. their is 2 version of 1.0 that am aware of. 1.0 and 1.0 SLI.Last edited by dmxdex2020; 02-15-2010, 10:26 AM.Core i7 C0, gigabyte UD3R x58 mobo, corsair 6gb DDR3 1333 memory, corsair 750W HX psu, asus xonar dx sound card, WD 500gb 32mb cache hdd.

Re: UD3R X58 will not OC? anymore help needed.
At the bottom left of the board it only says REV 1.0. Not sure were it would say SLI. the box also only says 1.0 i have no manual as i got it from the B grade from OCUK in the summer. Its been playing up on and off since i got it. Sometimes it would loop for ages i had to turn of the pc for few hours for it to settle down. I was using 9k bios update at 3.8 and yesterday pc wouldnt boot. so i cleared the cmos which got it working again its just when i oc it loops. gigabyte keep changing their bios names.Core i7 C0, gigabyte UD3R x58 mobo, corsair 6gb DDR3 1333 memory, corsair 750W HX psu, asus xonar dx sound card, WD 500gb 32mb cache hdd.

Re: UD3R X58 will not OC? anymore help needed.
I cannot afford another board. gigabyte just dont last. this is the second gigabyte board i have had in a year. next time i get a new board it will be asus. How long does it take for gigabyte to test and send out a new board? And the cheek are charging 10 pound warranty means nothing these days.Core i7 C0, gigabyte UD3R x58 mobo, corsair 6gb DDR3 1333 memory, corsair 750W HX psu, asus xonar dx sound card, WD 500gb 32mb cache hdd.
