    Need some help here please.

First are there any LEDs on this board?

This is a new build, all new parts.
I am booting out of the case (On plywood), but the psu is not powering on.
I have checked the psu (Corsair 850w) using jumper & fan and it works.

Have tried with & without gpu (5870) and 1tb WD Hard Drive.
    Reseated cpu (965 c3) and ram (2 x 2gb OCZ be ddr3 1600)
Also have reseated the 24 & 12 pin connectors to motherboard.
    CMOS Battery removed and reset.

Is there anything else to check before RMA?

    Thanks for your time.

Yes Below is a pdf of your motherboard manual. It will take a bit to download. Check the section on How to clear CMOS. The jumper 19 instructions are on page 31. http://download.gigabyte.ru/manual/m...0xta-ud4_e.pdf
Try that first. Then check the section on page 26 Another way to clear CMOS. You may want to check the 20 pin and 4 pin connectors to be sure they are inline and fully seated. The same with the cpu, memory, gpu, and front panel switches.

      Thanks for your reply.

I have already reset the CMOS, forgot to add that.

Do the front panel connectors have to be hooked up? My case gets here
tomorrow, but would that cause the PSU to not power on?

All connections reseated again (including cpu fan) still no power (PSU not
      turning on).

      Thanks again.

How to perform a P.O.S.T. bench test to a Gigabyte motherboard.
        Instructions as follows.
Please follow the following simple steps.
        1. Remove the motherboard from the case and any trays or chassies.
        2. Place the motherboard on top of the cardboard box (you can use the motherboard box)
        3. Install a good CPU, CPU fan, good Memory, a good Power supply plugs (plug the 1 X 20 pin or 1 X 24pin and 1 X 4 or 2 X 8 pin from the power supply unit) and a good working video card.
        4. Hook the monitor to the video card and be sure the monitor is switched on.
        5. Install the front panel wires as your motherboard manual suggest negative side as white wires. Turn on the system board by using the case "Power on" switch.
        6. If the system fails to POST, check the components' insertion again to ensure they are all connected properly. If still no P.O.S.T.
Then RMA. This may save you some time and S&H charges if it is a short from the case. This is a known fix and happens at times.
You will also want to remove the heatsink and fan and cpu clean all the old thermal paste or compound off and double-check the pins. Then carefully reinstall to be sure it is seated well. This is best if performed outside of the case also. Then remove the memory and try installing it in the white slots. Then the blue slots. see if it works in 1&2 or 3&4 Sometimes this is the issue.

Well I'll be dipped in sheep's poo!!!! Grabbed an old case, stuck the reset, pwr, and hd on the front panel connector and it fired right up. Sorry for being so dense, it has been awhile since I built a system. Thank you for all your suggestions, I had tried every thing you said except for the front panel. And again Thank You !!!
