Put together a new system build yesterday:
Gigabyte GA-MA78LM-S2 motherboard
Athlon II 425 (X3) retail.
2G OCZ DDR2 800MHz SLI memory.
OCZ 500W PSU (from a working system)
When I put everything together and power up, the CPU fan and case fan turns on. But I received only 4 long beeps, pause, then the 4 long beeps repeats.
Search the forums and it seems to indicate RAM problem, so tried the following:
Tried reseating the RAMS, using each of the sticks in each slot, and it repeats the same.
Bought another two sticks of 2x2GB PATRIOT DDR2 800MHz RAM and did the same, but got the same problem.
So, I guess I can rule out RAM as the problem.
Anyone know what is the problem?
Thanks
