sorry to bump this thread up ......but i am having the same problem as TS just that even after i disable the floppy drive A it still keep on looping on installation its a new system build....as i followed the bios setting as TS first post still nothing help.

same build as TS just that i am using Corsair XMS3 rams

Any solution to my problem ? isit the mobo faulty ?

have you set the hard drive as first boot device in boot order? and disabled floppy from there?

yea ....set the harddisk to first priority and dissable floppy A but it just keep restart

have you tried clearing cmos? or removing mb battery and leave out overnight then try>

The first time i try to on it cant ....i need to leave there for a while then it auto on.....after that its fine it can be on like normal. Then i took out the batt and it cant on again i need to leave it there and it on itself again. Would it be my mobo faulty i tried to call the seller of the mobo he told me should be mobo faulty. I am using a good PSU 80plus 700W ....should be sufficient enought

I'm running the same MB with 4GB of Ram
when I turn on AHCI I my dvd drive get busy ( green light ) all the time
I even put it on port 5 last one . With regular IDE Win 7 installs fine .
my drive is Pioneer DVR-216D with lastest firmare
MB is running F6 ( same results with F5)
I will try with a lite-on drive and see the results .
but I think it is a bios issue .
would like to know if any one been able to install Win7 with AHCI enabled .

Would like to ask which Sata Port do you plug ur harddisk? I did not seems to be able to install Win 7 for my system......it just reboot whenever it reaches "Starting Windows"

it was port 0 and 1 , I was able to install win 7
I'm getting sata3 drive and will see if win 7 will install or not
