What is the difference between intel Management Engine "software" and "Firmware" and which do i need to z97 extreme6 asrock? and how can i tell if the realtek downloads work for the alc1150 for ex R2.78? BE CAREFUL ON REALTEK SITE, there is a fake copy site "realtek.com dowloads part" its not the real site all u get is a free virus MAKE SURE U SEE THE ".com.tw" unfortunately i found out the hard way.

Me too...but lately I just stick with the Gigabyte-Realtek driver for Audio, I have too many problems with the later Realtek audio drivers on my UD5H.

Sorry dont mean to ask a stupid question but, asrock recently updated the UEFI bios to 2.1 and the MOBO disk comes with "intel me driver v10.0.0.1204_1.5m)" and do i need to install the "ME firmware" version first in other words if i dont install the firmware does it make sense to install the "ME driver"

Well some version of the firmware will be in the BIOS already. Whether or not you install the driver is up to you. If all your Asrock utilities are working fine without the driver then you probably don't need it.

I have installed the Dolby HomeTeater v4 driver instead of the regular Realtek driver. Works great on my GA-Z77X-UD5H.
