          Hey stasio

despite that the latest intel chipset is targeted for #: 5520/5500/X58
is there any problem to use it on X48 or P45? ( Just to be sure)

how can you manage your E8600 to 4.2Ghz with only 1.1680v?( you mean under load?)
          Thats very impressive.
          What Vid your Cpu has?

My E8600 (1.2500 Vid) on X48-DQ6 need 1.2480v with LLC off ,under load to manage 4 Ghz.

I installed OCCT v3.1.0, but it said DirectX 9 wasn't up to date & it wouldn't support the PSU test & GPU test and that my graphic card (Visiontek Radeon HD4850) didn't support CUDA and that GPU Memtest would be disabled.
Is this some kind of bug? Will this program not work w/DirectX 10? Does it not like 4850's either?
I had an older version of OCCT installed & it did the same thing.
                          Ideas?

                              No,it's not bug.
OCCT needs an updated DirectX9 to be able to properly run. Vista/Win 7 comes with DirectX 10, and only 10. If you update DirectX10, you only update DirectX10, and not 9.
Go to the microsoft website, and update DirectX. Easiest way is to go to google, and search for "dxwebsetup.exe".
This should be the best way, and has a validation required :
                              Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime
If you don't want the validation, you can always get the redist version, but it is a bit more cumbersome (download the whole thing, extract the directory manually, go there, and launch the setup file) :
                              DirectX 9.0c (Mar 09)
