  • GA-X48-DS4 overclock need help plz!!

    Hi guys,
I'm fairly computer savvy but I am a bit worried about O/C and would like some advice.
I have the above MB with an Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 3.33 which is guaranteed by the retailer to reach 4.00
The memory is 2x2Gb Geil1066 CAS5 and the graphics card is a radeon HD 4870 x2
I just want to o/c gently, preferably to the stated 4GHz but any pointers would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Here would be optimal ranges for 4Ghz >>>

    Code:

Yep so far so good. I originally left the core voltage at standard but COD4 crashed so I have upped it to 1.3v and so far have played many games with no problems. I might try lowering it bit by bit later on.
Once again thanks very much for the prompt support.
            p.s. Happy new year!!

Great to hear you are up and running! When you get time to play, yes try lower voltages and tighter timings

Happy New Year to you as well and thanks for the kind words!
