  • Ep45 UD3P f7a BIOS vs f5?

    I have a q9550 with the
    G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit

Does anyone find this new BIOS more stable than the online f5 bios on gigabyte site? Which one should I flash to?

There is a new official F6 bios on the website. The F6, F6a/F7a all boot slightly quicker then the F4/F5 do.

F6 seems good so far. I know some people with Q9x50's liked the F4 the best for Oc'ing I believe but since the F6 is new not sure how that is? Works good for me w/ E8400 though
    New Q9650, Gigabyte UD3P, 4GB OCZ Platinum, Asus TOP 4850, Antec TP3 550W, Vista 64 SP1/XP SP3.

With the q9550 I am wondering which version of BIOS should I use? I know... that is tough to answer.

I decided to take the risk since it was a new install anyway.. put f7a on and followed the template setting with the q9550 here on tweaktown.. thanks.. and it just boot to 3.61-3.62 on vista ultimate for more than 24 hrs running with no problems.. installed alll programs, etc.. and will be imaging it later tonight.. but will test more later today....tonight I mean. What is the best test tool integrated... I do not need to test 1000s of them.. just 2-3 is fine.
