  • Where is Hardware Virtulization?

I have an EP45-DS3L that was purchased yesterday. I have F10 BIOS and an Intel Core 2 QUAD Q8200. This processor supports virutalization technology. According to the MOBO manual this option should appear when a process that supports Virtualization is installed, however, the option is not present? Any ideas before I return it.

Just an idea... virtualization is only used when you are running multiple operating systems in separate partitions. BIOS may only see one partition and concluded that this option wasn't applicable, even if your CPU supports it.

From what I see the Q8200 does NOT have Virutalization technology

      Intel® Product Comparison Chart

The Q6600/6700 does and then the Q9300 on up do also
      New Q9650, Gigabyte UD3P, 4GB OCZ Platinum, Asus TOP 4850, Antec TP3 550W, Vista 64 SP1/XP SP3.

I think you are right. I know my E8200 has it, just surprised to see the Q8200 without it:-
