Hey there, roomate asked me to investigate an odd problem with his computer.
GA-M57SLI-S4 mobo, Dualcore AMD, 2gb Crucial Ballistix.
He told me he tried to plug a device into one of his front USB ports and the his OS did not register it and when he went to unplug it his computer instantly powered off.
Now when he turns his computer on the fans go, the HDD spins up (the DVD drive does not light up) but the monitor doesn't turn on.
My first instinct was to unplug the F-USB1/USB2 cords from the mobo, but this did not solve the problem. I then unplugged all the devices one by one but couldn't come to a solid conculsion about anything.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
