    Re: Q9550+ ga-ep45-ds5 + team xtreem 1066mhz

seems what i did last night to get the ram running at ummm i think it was 3:2 at 533 mhz? i cannot achieve that again. Tried running at

    FSB @ 444
    MCH @ 333
    multiplier @2.40
Memory 800-1066 the highest i got it to is 1032......

    Ram voltage @ 2.2v

    Static read value @ 9

    Driving strengh @ 1066

they dont seem to run at 1066hz or am i idiot?

Hmm, all looks ok to me, cept maybe use 401/2 for FSB

Some chips are just volt hogs that way, luck of the draw really

You could up the skew since you have a quad and see if that helps >>>

      CPU >>> 150

      MCH >>> 250

        Re: Q9550+ ga-ep45-ds5 + team xtreem 1066mhz

No at that FSB you wont get 1066 stable, you can try 2.40B memory multi but I doubt you will get it stable without a HUGE amount of MCH Voltage

You will have to use 2.00D with tighter timings or 2.66D with looser timings

your advance timing is too tight ... need loosing that up little if want to run 1066 ... tRFC for 1066 i need atleast 58 ... tRTP = 4 ...

Yeap, good score for sure. More MCH and RAM Voltage and you can run Trd 7

Hey Lsd just was wondering what is the highest you can go with the MCH, i had it to 1.3 with ram to 2.2 and MCH Clock Skew to 250. I nearly got windows to load but then suddenly BSOD then restart.

Hesitated to go higher not knowing if it would be safe?

                cheers

Well, intel max spec is 1.21, but I personally have used 1.45 but not for long. I would say 1.35-1.4ish is safe for 24/7 use but you should not need more then 1.3 with 4GB unless you are trying to push things very hard or you have some other setting that is off

                    Re: Q9550+ ga-ep45-ds5 + team xtreem 1066mhz

ok got it to work, changed the following.

MCH Clock skew from 100 to 250.
                    MCH Core 1.24 to 1.38
                    Ram voltage to 2.3
Driving Strength OC-1200 (wont boot at strength 1066)

                    Ran another Bench an got
                    Read 8708 now 8955
                    Write 9153 now 9154 (lol)
Copy 9043 to 9093 (lol lol)
                    Latency 59 now 56 Ram running at 5:6 5,5,5,12 2t @3.67Mhz

is this a minor improvement from stressing the system harder, not sure at all or isn't it stressing it out?

with my original OC (see sig) i had as follows.
                    Read 8517
                    Write 9643 (higher)
                    didn't do a Copy....
Latency 60. Ram running at 1:1

                    cheers on your input :)

Higher Read would be better, but overall latency results would be what I would choose the best of. And of course what is most stable. A few Points here or there +/- is not going to matter at all, only to a benchmark
