Curious as to why F33e for the x570 Aorus pro ,for example got published on the website despite all the reported quirks? Or have they been fixed, while maintaining the built number?
Because GB doesn't read this forum, this isn't official. User-to-user discussion and sharing of findings and information.
You are redirected to Gigabyte support to file a support ticket, basically.
Stasio, its any chance to GB team fix XMP readings? Could You pass to them info to still is broken? I mean on my previous mobo (intel tho) when you activate XMP , you got automatic set timers and voltage for RAM ( read from spd info i guess) , while on x570 it's never do that :/ every BIOS i have to manually set timing and voltage for RAM :(
X570 Master always sets XMP parameters perfectly--bios F32. The final official version of F32. With beta bioses, you get pot luck. But prior to F32, XMP wasn't working automatically, in several bios versions, including betas. But the timings still worked--I could still get XMP settings--by putting them in manually, and disabling XMP, which takes all of about 10 seconds--as you mentioned. But again, XMP is working fine with F32 for the x570 Master, if it so happens to apply to you.
The bios versions you see on this site are all betas, and as such, may contain all manner of bugs. You must go to the main GB site for your geographical area to see which bios versions have graduated to public-use status. One caveat, however: any bios version with a letter affixed, for instance F33c, is still a beta, whether on this site or the main sites.
With the ITE device on B550i showing Set Address Failed on reboot I saw in the thread https://www.reddit.com/r/gigabytegam..._aorus_pro_ax/ a post containing an upload of ITE device firmware and saying "Just received a ITE controller firmware update from Gigabyte support" and then "I just flashed it, so far no issue" - which might or might not mean it was fixed
In any case I raised my own ticket and after suggesting a BIOS update to 13c GB then said "Normally Gigabyte do not send out the MCU firmware update to end user. It's suggest to RMA the motherboard for the firmware update" and "From the forum link you have attached earlier, we don't have any information whether the firmware is from Gigabyte. Also it stated it won't help after update the MCU firmware. We don't think this is related to the MCU firmware update."
They also said "Regarding the USB2.0, did you install a PCIE4 PCIE graphics card. If so suggest to change the "PCIEX16 Slot Configuration" in BIOS to Gen 3 to see if it helps."
So although the support replies came back within a day they were no help.
Yes, that would likely be correct. Of course "SOME" BIOS's will support a unsupported (In the list) CPU good enough for you to flash to the one you need. But this is not very often the case and you would be correct in saying that he may need a Older CPU to flash with.
And do keep in mind Older CPU's when speaking of P45 boards Must be VRD11.1 power phase CPU, and are not compatible with VRD10 designed CPU's.
So always check the CPU support list for said board if you ever do need to pick up a cheaper "old" 775 CPU to be sure it is supported by the board as well as with the BIOS you have or think you may have.
