I have a X570UD motherboard and I've been running F21 BIOS (equivalent to F22 on other motherboards). I upgraded to F30 BIOS and I got some reboots and shutdowns so I went back to F21 and everything was fine. I just can't leave well enough alone so I upgraded to F31b yesterday. Seemed fine until this morning and I got a spontaneous reboot and the BIOS reset to defaults. I have already gone back to F21 and maybe I just need to leave it there.

So far I'm good on F31b, but I need about a month to say whether it works for me.
The biggest and most inexcusable issue for me is the "board appears totally dead after shutdown." I have to remove the GPU and pull the battery and main power and put it all back to get the board to start up at all. It just.. it boggles the mind. I'm not reading about this issue on any other boards. Sure, you know, each board has it's little issues. But THAT is a total showstopper. This is a premium priced motherboard.. things like this can NOT happen beyond one bad BIOS. F22, F30 and F30a all showed this behavior. I went back to F17b and I was fine. It's the BIOS, not my environment. We'll see. If F31b STILL has this issue, I'm returning the board and getting something else, I got a 2year return plan with Microcenter.

but seriously that's insane. yeah i would probably return it at this point because that's inexcusable. Does this happen for you with stock settings? Like reset the BIOS to default settings entirely and then see if it's something that causes it?

My first Aorus Master died like that. Just could not start anymore, all LEDs off. I could revive it once with a new battery but one week later it was dead. My second board had other issues.
My third Board is revision 1.1 and is running for a couple of months now. It is the most expensive board i ever had and it has the most problems :(
VSoc is set to 1.031v to fix BIOS reset issues

Still so far so good on F31b. Unless I get surprises, this is the best BIOS out of all of them. I suppose AMD spent a good amount of resources on fixing up AGESA, and it shows. No sleep mode issues so far (there always were edge cases before), good performance, so far no "MACHINE LOOKS DEAD" recovery situations. It'll take more time to be sure but so far I am very happy with F31b.
