IF i managed to get it booting into windows then tried to restart the machine i would get a BSOD with "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_PROBLEM" + restart so ... perhaps it wasn't such a big improvement after all :)
ps: prime 95 would fail in error after 2 sec with f9r
One improvement i noticed with f9r was that, in full load, the multiplier behaviour was better than with other BIOS (it stayed at x21 for longer).
Will test the f9v and report back.
LaterEdit:
Flashed F9v, loaded the exact same settings i use flawlessly with f9p, booted into Windows, but when i try to logoff or restart - POOF! BSOD!
Restarted and with some effort i managed to get into windows again but ... SURPRISE ... my Win 7 installation (or user profile) was completely corrupted. I also experienced the exact same thing with f9r, the only difference being that back then i managed to use system restore and restore some older settings; but noooo ... i couldn't even launch "my computer" now (or anything else), couldn't even see the icons on my desktop and couldn't reboot because it kept freezing in the "logging off" state.
Had to use the Win7 installation CD and then restore to a previous restore point.
Flashed my old F9p back and i'm going to stick with that.
I advise everyone to be cautious when using F9R or F9V on GAex58-EXTREME boards!
can anyone be kind enough to tell me any importan changes, or if the raid/ahci ROMS are still old, and need (can) be upgraded, and what are the newer ones ? :P
last time i updated my BIOS, the AHCI was the newst one already, not the raid one.

BIOS F8h:
-Support Intel Gulftown CPU
-New Features "Dynamic Vcore (DVID)"
BIOS F8j and F8m:
-Improved memory compatibility(...and new memory on the market)

Hell yeah
As many times noted here and in the forum, you cann't use same setting from previous beta BIOS.
This happen also for me,stable setting in BIOS F7d ,apply to Bios F7=>BSOD!
Anyway,if you don't want to adjust your setting in new beta BIOS,stick with previous, except if no important new features added in the new BIOS.
Example:
For P55A and P55 series new BIOS had been released only for G.Skill memory F3-17600CL7D-4GBPIS ( 2200 ;7-10-10-28 ) !
not sure what happened last time. but i had some spare time today, so i tried F9V again and entered in my usual settings one by one. this time it worked, no problems so far *shrug*

This is working very well for me in a general use of pc way. No oclock but just normal standard settings way.
GA-P55-UD3R F5, interesting the website gigabyte still only lists F5B so it really does look as if the bios here are just before release types. Anyway its working well for me. Thanks for this access and support Gigabyte.
