GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS

Hi, In latest versions BIOS for Z390 Gaming SLI in Advanced CPU Core Settings we don't have Core Current Limit (Amps)(and other settings related to CPU power stuff) options and Virtualization and VT-d options are also hidden away.
Is there any way to restore these settings, or to at least restore Virtualization and VT-d options because those are very important to me.

B550 Aorus elite rev 1 user here. I flashed F13J (latest) and my USB mouse keeps disconnecting. This problem gets more frequent when I hibernate the PC instead of shutting down.
I see improvements though, now I don't have to physically unplug and plug the mouse every time it disconnects, it resets itself on its own after 1-2 secs.
Connecting to 2.0 (front or back) or 3.2 ports doesn't seem to matter in my case.

I'd be willing to bet that old mouse (and its software) is your problem. In my x570 Master I have used the 2.0 backplate ports without a problem all the way from bios F4...;) (I'm now on F34a.) I've read many posts which state that certain brands of kbrds and mice would disconnect from USB because of their driver software, and that using newer kbrd/mouse hardware solved those disconnect problems. Makes sense to me...good luck!

BTW, have you turned off fastboot in the bios and in Win10? If not, do that and disable hibernation and see where that takes you.

Is any AGESA 1.2.0.3 Patch B BIOS out?
I have AORUS PRO B550 which had problems with USB with all bioses...

The mouse works on my FX-6350. It's a standard USB 2.0 interface, I don't see why it should stop working if the interface is the same, the year it was released shouldn't matter if the communication protocol stays the same...

By checking the last few pages you'll see that

1.2.0.1A is on GB site that has many fixes
1.2.0.2 was withdrawn
1.2.0.3A is available courtesy of stasio
1.2.0.3B is not quite yet available for GB

USB problems take many forms - the AGESA fix is for runtime problems but even with F12 its possible to work by experimenting with port selection - I cant use both front, or both 3.2, or all 4 rear, at the same time for example.

I mean, Microsoft officially supports the mouse so I'm not sure why the AMD platform wouldn't support it.

I've tried fastboot, c-states, running stock speeds, nothing helps. The worst part is that I also have an external WD Elements 1 TB HDD that's USB 3.0 and keeps disconnecting. This sucks because I used to stream my own videos from it :(

I am on F12 (Aorus Pro B550) and noticed as long as I do not use all 4 USB in the first row on the back, I have no issues.I only have my mouse and keyboard connected on the first row.

Yea and your vintage mouse is USB 1.0 and the communication protocol is NOT the same.

I never had that happen. My secondary m.2 was listed as removable. This was only an issue because it disabled caching by default.

F5 has fixed that for me.

Yeah for me it is C: as I have a 10700KF still so can't use the 1st NVME Slot

I had a MSI Z490 that failed a Bios upgrade ( 1st time in my life and no flashback ), so picked up this board to replace it
and so far I am thinking like you , but was originally happy I was back on a Ultra durable GB mobo ,
not so much now as my experience mirrors yours. It's like DejaVu with my X99 Computer all over again.

Are you saying that Gigabyte motherboards don't need to support USB 1.0 devices? USB is backwards compatible all the way back to USB 1.0.

So I've just checked the MSI BIOS page and they've not only got a 1.2.0.3B Beta BIOS, they have a 1.2.0.2 stable BIOS. What happened to 1.2.0.2 being withdrawn? Why did only Gigabyte have to pull theirs down?

I dont know if GB had to, but they had some reason to choose to for B550, but neither GB or AMD want to share that reason - I mean after all we're just paying customers so why would anyone feel the need to keep us informed.

It would be nice if there were no USB issues with AMD/GB - like when I used Intel/Asus - and it would be nice if they prioritised fixing them after so long - but we as users can do our part
- try different USB ports and dont use all USB ports of a pair or group of four, dont jump on every Beta BIOS that gets released, use a BT dongle instead of suffering the Intel module, etc, etc

"Don't use too many USB ports" and "use a USB BT dongle instead of the onboard" are contradictory and I'm already running out of USB ports. I even tried a USB hub on a single port and that's made the issue worse.

Yes and just to add on: Usb 3.2 2x2 is 20 gbps and USB4 will bring its own different flavor of 20 gbps, as well as 40 gbps with backwards compatibility with thunderbolt3. USB is a good thing...
