Found a bug with new beta bios for Z590 motherboards. F6B, Z590 AORUS PRO Ax, using 10th gen CPUs. Graphics cards working at x8 speed (Gen 3) instead of x16 (Gen 3). Manually changing Gen from Auto to Gen 3, does not solve the issue. RTX 3070 Mobo.

Gone again after a bit of gaming tonight. This time FAN 6 and CPU OPT.

I then opened HWInfo64 and HWMonitor and FAN6 seemed to reset and come back, but maybe that was a coincidence

CPU OPT didn't start back till I rebooted. I noted that when it reports zero RPM in SIV, HWINFO doesn't show the fan(CPU OPT) at all. But then after reboot it reappears.

Found a bug in all F33x bios!
If u set Resizbar on AUTO and dont have a GPU that work with it (in my case 2080) u get WHEA Error, most times at the start from PC or reboot.

I don't know that I'd call that a bug, you're not supposed to use it if your hardware doesn't support it. That's like saying it's a bug that your 3200MHz RAM kit won't run at 4400MHz.

Z590 boards now have the "b" bios version of the update that adds 11th gen i9 Adaptive Boost.

Aorus Master: F5b

Aorus Elite AX: F5b
etc.

they're BETA versions and the "b" supersedes the "a", so no point in having the "a" also

Right, but some were pulled from the site a couple days before the next version came out. Wonder if a significant problem was found.

I had this as well. Enabling Resizable BAR even with a supported vBios on my RTX 3080 and using F33f/g/h causes blue screens. This is common in the beta bios'.

You wouldn't happen to have an NVME seated in the middle two slots (M2B_CPU/M2C_CPU)? That will downgrade your first PCIe slot to x8. See the schematic on page 5 of the manual.

Basically with 10th gen on that board you have to only use the bottom slot (M2P_SB) if you want full bandwidth for the GPU. (First slot M2A_CPU only works with 11th gen CPU).

Do you have by any chance a m.2 PCIe installed? If yes, in what m.2 slot?
Why? Because 2 of those m.2 will cut lanes from the PEG since 10th series only has 16X lanes for PEG

This isn't a solution, it's a temporary workaround until it happens again.

I disagree. Auto means the motherboard should automatically use the correct setting. That's equivalent to leaving your motherboard at auto timings, and having it incorrectly guess your 3200 RAM kit needs to run at 4400 with ensuing failure.

Beta "a", from visible status move to unvisible,replaced Beta "b", but is still on GB server.

I hope that Gigabyte won't make us way much longer.

They were quick to update to 1.2.0.1 Patch A, so hopefully we'll see it appear in the next few beta BIOS releases
