yeah I confirm the issue with f9c on the ex58-ud4p, coming out of sleep there is no turbo and the multiplier never drops from 20 at idle, also the system temp, cpu temp and nb temps all drop out and cannot be detected using anything. All this until its rebooted.
Then when it can be detected before going to sleep the stupid cpu temp or tells me its 19-20C at idle in a in a 27C ambient room. I know the noctua is good but it doesn't break the laws of physics. But maybe it is magical and the temp is correct, guess I better put a load on the cpu so condensation doesn't fry the chip and board.
Now I'm trying to remember the issues I had with the other ones to see if I should flash back.

I do believe I read somewhere the Multi drop from Turbo after a S3 resume is a Intel Design "Feature", I am almost certain I was pointed to the direct info in a Intel PDF concerning this. I am not sure where the info is that lead me to this, but I do believe it is part of the intended design. I'll ask again about that though.
As for your temps, what are you using to guage them? I use UD4P myself and never have any temp problems, I use Everest Ultimate and all is fine

Another issue here. @default is not stable testing using maximum stress test on Intel burn test (I don't know if it's stable using standard test EDIT:on standard test it's ok). I receive a warning on the second test session:
"Your system was found to be unstable... check cooling... lower overclock". Is it a memory related issue? Cooling is ok (liquid@acceptable temp) and no overclock. I tried to overvolt ram, increase ram timings, increase QPI/VTT (1.5V), no go.
IBT is not a normal testing method, so I would suspect things may not be stable on defaults. IBT is meant for users who are tweaking and know how to get systems going, not for general usage in testing stability of non tweaked default systems.
I'd have to see your full settings, and specs to be able to even start to advise you on this. Please make a new thread including your full settings and specs and I will be glad to try and help you out.
for you guys having trouble on the multi not dropping, check your power saving features under the screen saver tab, one of the bios's i tried turned mine off, so my multi would never drop.

Well I found the issue. I bet you don't have CPU EIST enabled. I agree the drop of turbo after sleep is "normal" I guess as I have read this is common across many mb manufacturers. However with CPU EIST enabled I have found that the cpu temp or Tcase is reported 10C lower than what it should be all the time. Also when coming out of sleep cpu temp, system temp and nb temp all drop out and don't report, I have tried with everest ultimate, hwmonitor and speedfan with similar results.. If I had one of these up before going to sleep it will still show but won't update, if you close it and bring it back up these temps will not be shown. Also the multiplier will never drop down at idle once coming out of sleep the whole reason eist was being used.
I do have C1E disabled just because I hate the slight squeel of chokes when a load it applied, damn things would ring everytime I followed a link in a browser, not really loud just annoying.
Anyway I wonder if there is anyway to resolve the issue with sleep and EIST, could a bios change resolve any? Wonder if increasing voltages could help but that would defeat the purpose of EIST and my OC is stable without it. Oh well.

That did it. I enabled EIST and now the cpu multi stays at 21.
I assume you mean you disabled EIST because with it enabled your cpu multiplier will drop when idle until there is a load, if you put your machine into s3 sleep and come back you won't have the +1 multi from turbo until you reboot the machine whether you have EIST enabled or not.
There are advantages to having it enabled because it drops the multiplier and vcore when idle saving power and lowering the cores idle by 3-5C. Guess I need to hookup the old kill-a-watt and see how much it generally saves.
