I recently purchased a B550i board, and this must be the most frustrating board in my 15 years of experience building computers.

I lost several days trying to diagnose, fix and find a solution for Bluetooth issues. Ended up using dongles for all my peripherals.

(I should note that the Bluetooth issue is related to the underlying USB power gating issue, so I am not even sure I will not experience other problems in the future).

Why aren't there any WiFi or Bluetooth settings in the BIOS? Why can't I enable/disable them, or disable power savings? Same for USB. Windows settings appear to be too "high-level" to work around this problem.

Now I have been hit by another issue with LAN. It occasionally randomly stops working (have to restart the adapter). Don't know how to solve that yet.

All of these issues are extremely easy to reproduce. I don't understand how they got past QA and why they haven't been fixed, or the boards recalled.

Today I installed the master for testing but if I set 4650 Mhz on the first chiplet and 4550 Mhz on the second chiplet, only the first 4 cores per chiplet are operated with the clock.

Bios : F33a ....other bios versions have the same bug

Exact same issue for me (5900X, Aorus Master). Went all the way back to F31 bioses and the issue was still present. 6 cores clocked properly, 4.7Ghz (CCX1) and 4.6Ghz (CCX2). Remaining cores at 3.7Ghz

The only thing I could do was to use Ryzen Master and that clocked the CCX's properly, but having to use Ryzen Master is not ideal.

Definitely something fundamentally wrong in the bios for 5000 series, as this was never a problem with my 3900X.

Just bought a 5600x paired with a B550 Aorus Pro v2.
USB stuttering & Realtek dc's right off the bat.
Disables C-states\pcie 4.0 -> 3.0 and using an external NIC and for now, I'm good.
When will Gigabyte\AMD\both will announce they address this awful situation?

OK, I told myself I wasn't going to update until F13 was final, but you've got me tempted. I'm also 5950, B550 Master, but I'm completely stable at the moment with F11 - granted, only IF1800 .... I'm really tempted to move to F13A and try for DDR4 @ 4000 1:1:1

I ran into this also. Someone suggested using Ctrl-Alt-F6 while in BIOS. It looks like it drops the resolution a bit, but the lag disappears. I get this whenever CSM is disabled.

We have been reporting this since rev 1.0 of the board came out, still no fix so I doubt it's ever getting fixed.

Does anyone have experience with the F13a bios on the B550? is it worth upgrading from the beta F12a with AGESA 1.2.0.0? What are the improvements?

I've had the b550i since august 2020, paired with a ryzen 5 3600, and more recently with a ryzen 7 4700g, and BT has been a constant problem since day 1, on all BIOS I've tried.

AMD (their issue I think), and Gigabyte to a certain extent, have taken the ostrich approach.

Looks like this was improved (but not completely fixed) in the F13a version posted today. With F12, in addition to the problem mentioned above, I also couldn't get Windows to detect my USB flash drive from the front panel connector. Updating to F13a (still using the same BIOS settings) fixed that.

fixed?? i don't think so. with f10 i had stuttering but it was possible to use the keybaord and the mouse. with f13a it was a shame..
i wrote this lines with f12 and everthing is fine.

I am on F13a with my B550i Aorus Pro AX and so far IF1900 is perfectly stable. With F12a I thought that at first, but I had to go down to 1867 to get rid of random crashes. So yes, I seem to have a better stability, but might be temorary or something that only I experience. Apart from that I didn't notice anything, but I didn't experience any of the problems posted here (except for overall stability with high IF and agressive curve).

F13a on b550i still same 1867, 1900 no boot, 1933+ whea warnings and reduced performance
