I have a x570 Master and only a 5900x CPU, so I had to update the Bios on the factory-new Board using the Flashback method without CPU, RAM and GPU installed - because the factory BIOS version does not work with 5000 CPUs.

1) Can I do the upgrade using the Flashback Button also with CPU, RAM and everything installed? In the manual it says that it only works without CPU, RAM and GPU.
2) I am not sure, if the Backup-BIOS was also updated --> How do I update that as well now, preferably without disassembling my PC?

I flashed F11n yesterday. Coming from the F11k the crashes related to WHEA error are gone and the warnings have also disappeared. I was able to run my RAM at 3600 Mhz Cl16 via XMP, IF at 1800 Mhz.

What concerns is are the temps:
with F11k my 5800x barely hit 60 degress in a 15 min prime95 run. Now with F11n I hit 90 degrees throttling after 10 min prime95 run, even with pump speed and fans of my 240 AIO at 100%.

g111 I can confirm your observation with the power reporting deviation. I also sae max values >1000%

Alsof nu 5800X runs hotter with F11n. For me F11j works best.

When trying to enable 5950X's CCX OC in BIOS in my Aorus Master x570, half the cores do not rise to the selected frequency:



I'm able to do it via Ryzen Master, so the issue must be BIOS related. I've tried versions F30e and F30l with the same result.

I have same thing with F31L and 5900x

Tomorrow I`m getting my 5900x. Do you recommend to wait until F31 is final, or should I not wait and update my bios to F30? My MOBO is 570x Elite.

Wirx Good to know I'm not the only one. It clearly points to a BIOS issue with new Ryzens. Hope gigabyte fix it soon.

Just updated to F11n... my timmings are back, even XMP is working with 4400 CL19 (no wierd mouse shutters or anything) haha.
FCLK is back at default 1800 so if anyone is strugling with F11k flash ur BIOS ;) I havent tryed higger FCLK for now, just giving up till they fix everything

As someone mention the temps, im IDLE at 36C and full load 82-84 (Ryzen 9 5900x + be quiet dark rock 4)


Btw gonna leave my XMP for now and see if there will be something wrong with cold post and I'll update tomorrow.


Once more question tho... when i set my memory to bios default it runs at 2033 (????) then my FCLK goes down to 1067 is that normal ?

Its up to you, if i personally knew there are so many issues as a "normal user" I would wait...
But i did learn a low of new stuff thanks to it and hopefully i wont break something up in upcoming BIOS updates xD

Still hitting a lot of WHEA errors but systems works is stable so far, will try to update to later bios later.

For me, F11n does not work at all. Just fails to boot after BIOS screen. F10, F11j, F11k all work. Default optimized settings XMP on or off same result. My CPU does seem to be a silicon 'dud', though. I can only single core boost to about 4200-4260 depending on BIOS version. Multicore runs just under 4000Mhz. Not sure if that may be related since others seem to be fine on F11n.
