I asked the esupport today the same question, maybe i get the anwser in 3 days.

my system: CPU: Ryzen7 5800x@Stock + NZXT x63 • MB: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro • UEFI: f11k • RAM: BL2K16G32C16U4@3733 16/19/16/16/34/56 • GPU: RTX2060S GV-N206SWF2OC-8GD • Monitor: Philips 328P6VUBREB • NT: Corsair AX850W Gold

I just updated bios to F11i which is the latest version on their official site and enabled XMP again. No whea errors for now + higher cinebench score, hopefully it stays that way. I dont know why you are still having issues on f11k though

f11k is capable of 1900 FCLK but requires some tweak in SOC Vcore and LLC settings to make it work, which is not required in f11j.

I did not have much time to look into it. I think it is some what better compared to other BIOS as of now.

f11k is similar to f11d with all the fixes. f11j is still superior in terms of FCLK overclocking.

I never could start ram oc (over 2667/3200xmp) with any other bios version except of f11k because of usb stuttering. So I can't test a higher flck than 1600mhz.

usb key have to be FAT32, bios file had to be renamed to GIGABYTE.bin . Q-flash for emergincies, you can flash bios in bios preaty easy.

It is FAT32 and I have it set to GIGABYTE.bin. The manual also states you use the button from a S5 (power off) state... so it should just turn on the computer by itself too. But at any rate I try pressing (and also spamming) the button right after pressing the power button and it just keeps on booting to Windows..

I can flash the bios just fine if I do it the manual way but the point is this board has a feature and I'd like to know why it doesn't work!

any ideas?

i mean, that i can‘t use a stable ram oc with the ballistix at the release of ryzen 5xxxx.
the uefi settings where fine (i had use f11d & i). the import of the xmp profile where correct. 1.35v 16-18-18-18-36-80
but with shuttering you can‘t speak of a whole stable config. so my first priority was to kill the stuttering.

the fix of f11k works in combination of my system. so now i can use the pc with 3200xmp with nearly zero whea. i'm not sure if it was really zero.
last weekend i started with some ram oc tests. with 3600 and 3733 MHZ i found some whea by cpu core.
but i have no blue screens, no black screens, no ram test errors or any noticeable instability. only reports in the event id viewer of win 10 20-h2

3600 mhz run with 1.39v (í'm sure that i could reduce the voltage)
3733 run with 1.40v
i didn‘t change any other voltage in f11k.

You have to do it from S5 yes, so don't press the power button to turn on the PC. It works just fine for me, even with all hardware still installed (CPU, RAM, GPU, etc, full PC). I've used it a couple of times to boot when I managed to botch my setup so far that I couldn't get it to start anymore, without having to take my computer apart.
Using FAT32 and the filename GIGABYTE.bin is correct. Make sure it is in the correct USB slot. To actually flash it, I press and hold the Q-flash button for a couple of seconds (5-10sec I think, it feels like a long time) until the PC comes to life and the button starts blinking. It then takes a couple of minutes to flash. So don't use the power button, don't spam the Q-flash button, just hold it until it turns on.

Report from an x570 Aorus Pro.
I built my system yesterday paired with a 5800x and 3600mhz G.Skill ram.
Initially i used the F31j BIOS and everything was working well.
I tried out the latest F31l BIOS released today and as soon as i boot into windows, the event viewer is flooded with WHEA errors.
Flashed back to F31j and errors are gone.

Both bios settings are identical, just XMP and manual dram voltages set.
Can anyone else from gigabyte confirm the WHEA errors on the x570 Aorus Pro with F31l? stasio

I have the same issue except it happens with all F31x BIOS Versions FCLK > 1600 MHz.

So now they officially released F11k for B550 Aorus Elite and since updating to that from F11i I'm getting tons of whea errors again. So they somehow managed to make it worse than F11i

Same here, getting tons of whea errors just by idling in windows. Previous F11i worked just fine with by memory OC.

Tried F11K with the Aorus Pro AC -- when I set XMP(3600), the BIOS becomes almost un-usable. Super slow / hardlocks and crashes. Went back to F11i.

I am on f32L but with 3700x and I have no Whea errors. only memory Oc to 3600mhz
