Thanks for the quick reply, I thought you might have missed my reply previously.

Can you please post some images of what exactly you are looking at that makes you think the CPU is not properly recognized. Be sure you use the latest versions of any tools such as AIDA/Everest, CPU-z, ect.

Also, what does it show up as on the post screen as shown in the above image, Q8400?

What happened to the Z68 UD7 beta F8E bios? It was here yesterday, and I've installed it but I now see that it's replaced by the previous F8c version.

Should I take this as a sign to revert to f8c?

F8e no longer suffers from the RAM bug, just checked it and it's ok. (GA-Z68X-UD4-B3)

Thanks for the pics, I sent them an update with your image info. I think it might be your CPU Patch ID being 0000 that's the issue, I'm not sure if that should even be possible but they'll let us know, it should be 0A07.

Was this a newly purchased CPU, or used? Just asking in case they think you maybe need to RMA the CPU.

They were able to replicate the issue now on F6b, so they're looking into correcting it again. I'll keep ya posted!

Good, well bad, but bad in a good way, thats confused you.

Odd one eh?, surprised they didnt spot this in beta testing, unless they were waiting for me to test it :)

So shouldnt be long till a fix i would imagine, for the ud9 and any other boards that would be affected.

Hope they add a release log, so we know what the updates do.

Haaayyy...

Modded P67-UD4-B3 bios F5b (I liked the c personally...sniff).

Updated to Intel Option RAID ROM: 10.6.0.1091
Realtek Nic Rom is 2.41

I tested it on my own board... I live dangerously. Nothing exploded or caught fire. :)

Yea it's brand new. Patch ID might be wrong because the F10 doesn't support the Q8400.

Is anyone willing to help me with the f8a bios for my GA-X58A-UD5 rev.1 bios.

I don't really know how to put the latest intel, realtek roms in it.
Tryed it but scewd my bios up somehow.
