Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
Yes, but if you want to do that you should use the very latest Face Wizard. And then only use the program to create and save the BIOS, then use Qflash to actually flash the modified BIOS.
Here is the latest version, uninstall your current one before installing this one.

Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
Thanks, just got one last question for you then in that case, my new bios is the larger sized one, F7m, it was recommended not to use Qflash to flash this newer size bios, however, would my Qflash have also been updated when I orginally flashed with this new bios and therefore now safe to flash further bios updates with, including the same one again ?Gigabyte G1.Sniper rev 1.0 (F3a Beta Bios)

Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
anybody else notice the FG1 BIOS for the x58a ud3r rev2 being slower than FF1?
flashed it yesterday, but while playing with mem, noticed the aida64 memory benchmark figures for memory were worse, despite using the same settings
i even compared a previous benchmark on FF1 at CR2 to FG1 with CR1 and FF1 was still faster
FF1:

it's nice to have a working quick boot menu again, but i think i'll stick with FF1 for nowLast edited by GHz; 04-23-2011, 06:42 AM.i7 950, Gigabyte EX58A-UD3R (2.0), 3x4GB G.Skill PC3-12800, HD 6970

Any chance someone can modify/update the F14 BIOS for the P55A-UD4P so that it has the updated Intel Raid ROM? Thanks!Intel Core i7 3770K

Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
^ You should be able to use QFlash (Built-in Flasher) without a problem, Flashspi is just the recommended method from Gigabyte.
Flashspi can be used from a Bootable USB, a guide to making one is in the Forum Post with the BIOS.
The effect on Window 7 Activation depends on your current activation method.
You would be better off asking about that question in the forum I linked, I don't know if that discussion would be frowned upon here or not.Last edited by NoJuan999; 04-24-2011, 02:12 PM.I am in NO way affiliated with Gigabyte.

Got it all figured out and working fine, might be tempted to flash back, drive response seems a bit slower than before.Intel Core i7 3770K
