And just tell me what is the difference between UD3LR and DS3LR. Only UD 3. My motherboard is suffering from memory compatibility problems. Just take one of my memory sticks and bam - system doesn't start at all . Put it back - bam - again same thing. Tested with 3 different memory kits : Kingstone HyperX 2x2GB 800MHz, Kingstone VR 2x2GB 800MHz and Patriot XMP 2x2GB 800MHz. Had to stay with Kingstone VR because faster memories caused problems. And no it wasn't PSU problem, no wasn't memory problem. It was motherboard . I always was Gigabyte fan but after experiencing this - I'll be switching to MSI next time.

Hi, does anyone know the changes or fixes between the different RAID ROM versions on the UD5, I'm on BIOS F9p and its version 8.0.0.1039 but some BIOS's have had version 8.9.1.1002 implemented.

Whats the RAID rom version on the F9 final ?

The RAID ROM in the UD5 F9 BIOS is v8.0.0.1039
as for the specific changes between the ROM versions I have no idea, sorry

Im considering flashing my UD4P for F10 (from 9c) but am just curious what changes have been made. If its mainly support for new cpu variations I might not bother..

Going from F8 to F10 stabilized my memory (ocz3g1600lv2g) and/or memory controller quite a bit. I need less vDimm, QPI, IOH and ICH voltages. Also the 12x uncore multi no longer results in a boot-loop. I also don't have to adjust skew, PLL voltages or clock drive to get it stable >210 blck or >4.4hz. Temperatures are within 1-2C of what I was seeing with F8 so I would guess that the voltages the hardware was actually receiving compared to what the bios says were adjusted. However I never measured any voltages with a multimeter.

I have also noticed that if something is unstable it shows itself sooner (<15 minutes where before it would take 5-8 hours). Then bumping up the voltage one notch is enough to make it 24hr prime small/large/blend stable. I did several days with different settings in Prime95 and i'm in the process now of dropping voltages to see how low i can go.

F8 :1.34v qpi, 1.24v qpi pll, 1.26v IOH, 1.18v ICH,1.64vDimm (1200 7-7-7-15)
F10:1.2v QPI, 1.10v qpi pll, 1.2v IOH, 1.10v ICH, 1.56vDimm (1200 6-6-6-14)

hi, i am also using an GA-ex58-ud4p and switched from f8 to f10 bios:
but now i cannot get past 215 bclk, before it worked, but with f10 i have to get back to bclk=200, has anyone an idea?
does anyone know what are the most important voltages to stabilize a high bclk? i mean, with f8 bios i could even post at 222, but it was more randomly, so out of 5 boot attempts maybe 2-3 worked, after some time it would completly lock up and only cmos reset would help....

and if so, was there a non-beta release of F11?
the us giga site still has F11b which is in beta but i don't know if it's kept up to date

Good find! I have the OCZ3G1800LV2G so our RAM is pretty much the same, x12 Uncore no longer looping sounds good too, especially your huge drop in VTT, I will be doing voltage reduction tests tomorrow

I did it folowing the instructions from this site, but when I set my memory profile of my patriot viper PC3-1600 2000mhz, 2x3x2GB, rebooted, and then my bios sees only 4GB? ALso if i reboot somethimes the memory resets to its defults, saying there was an error with overclock. And last in my Raid bios it detects my 4 velociraptors and somethimes it gives an smart error, but most of the times its doesnt give the error?
