Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
F10f for UD3P :D Will test today.
Rig is stable with F10e, 4230MHz with mem @ 2.00D instead of 2.40B. Don't now care if mem never goes 2.40 multi, I would only concider it a bonus.
EDIT ///
tested F10f (Q-flash, BIOS file on USB stick this time ;)
Still no go with 2.40B mem multiplier. I only tested FSB 450MHz / 1080MHz mem with volts ok for +4,2GHz/1100MHz - few sec P95 blend errors. No bonuses :/
2.50A multi is much more stable, with same volts and higher cpu and mem oc...so...am I feeling lucky ?
Had two BSOD's already, the backup BIOS wasn't put back (F10e). One BSOD made me scared: NTFS.sys was mentioned, but OS not corrupted :D. I wonder if 2.40B would work if I had non-Raid, non-SATA HDD.Last edited by TweakerOwn; 09-10-2009, 01:17 PM.Q9650 (4.2GHz, 1.381v BIOS)

edit:
10f runs okay here.
No issues so far all good.

F10e the bad
1) cant go back to previous bios on QFLASH have to do it on FLASHSPI
2) it overwrites your original bios backup to F10e
3) If you go back as on 1) ANY HARD OC will lead to crash bios and F10e comes back
4) lower times on latency in mem lowered my mem from 51,2(F10b) to 52,3(F10e)
F10e the good
1) it likes more the 2,05A multi on my giga UD3P, can run and past tests on my 1200 2x2 Gskills at 1250 CL5 PL9
2) restarts showing more info than on F10b, F10b jumps that POSTs
3) not so many reboot loops as on F10b
4) will not like some hard 8,5 OC i had like 530x8,5 mem at 1272 PL9, it wont boot and load W7 or XP
F10b the bad
1) Still has some reboot loops
F10b the good
1) better latency on mem
2) no problems on 530x8,5 mem at 1272 PL9 i can tun SPi32M perfect and boot without freezing
3) seems more stable for OC
The bad part of all is that we the ones we tried F10b and found it a great bios and the ones we love to OC hard have to deal with the fact that F10e will come back again and again and i asked stasio and so many others how to fix this and there's no reply...It would be great to have F10b as backup also<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->ASUS M5G BIOS 1001

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
From F10f it is possible to Q-flash to older BIOSes, I did so, to old final F9, no more "Illegal BIOS Image" during Q-flash (still old backup BIOS is F10e, it was listed as backup bios with F10f I tested earlier today)
WHEN WILL F10e BACKUP BIOS BE GONE ?
No big surprise, 2.40B works again with F9 BIOS (4230MHz/1128MHz mem), Turbo mode on etc ;) And LUCK had nothing to do with it. Jiggabite BIOS Crew, what are you doing?
I again wonder about SATA ports and OC... I've got HDDs in ports 0-1, (2-3 are empty) and 4-5 are for SATA DVDs, nothing in purple slots, onboard gigabyte sata also disabled in BIOS.Last edited by TweakerOwn; 09-10-2009, 03:44 PM.Q9650 (4.2GHz, 1.381v BIOS)

Btw, F9 BIOS, 4230MHz CPU / 1128MHz Mem (333MHz Latch/2.40B set in BIOS) was IntelBurnTest v2.3 10 runs/loops OK on HIGH (2048MB). F10e or F10f would bsod or give error in few secs. I'll post a pic.
F9 BIOS - 2.40B does work, no luck ;)

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
OK
bios F10F tested on my rev 1,0 board seems the same as F10e and STILL F10e AS BACKUP Gigabyte can you plz fix this and put as backup the bios that came with the board or at least one good...plz plz plz
F10F has same latency problem as F10e, F10b scores more on mem benches...on my rev 1.0 mem runs perfect at 2,40B and for 2,05A need volts but works...problem is on rev 1,1 that HATES 2,40B and like more 2,05A so you guys check that. Best board is still this rev 1.0
Cheers
