Does anybody else have issues dual booting Windows 11 with Ubuntu (all recent versions) with Secure Boot enabled? There seems to be an issue in Grub2 with identifying Secure Boot enabled. The menu gets corrupted with lines like Failed to open \EFI\UBUNTU\Chinese characters - Invalid Parameter and Grub refuses to work. This makes it practically impossible to dual-boot currently for me. Are there other people experiencing this annoying issue as well on this forum? I can't seem to fix it and it comes back with every version Canonical brings out. A while back this NEVER happened to me and I was able to dual-boot EVERYTHING just fine, but that was in the time that Secure Boot wasn't a requirement for Windows. Some think that Windows damages the EFI partition where the Ubuntu entries reside.

Yes this happened to me. I used https://sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair-cd/home/Home/ put it on a usb, boot into it, hit repair. It will update your grub to work correctly and you'll be able to boot again

I've had one case of XMP reverting after changing a BIOS setting with B550i. After enabling fTPM on F13 it did seem to take extra time to POST and sometime later I noticed the memory speed shown in tools in Windows was the stock speed. I had to go to BIOS and switch XMP off and then back on to get back to 3600.

Yes this happened to me. I used https://sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair-cd/home/Home/ put it on a usb, boot into it, hit repair. It will update your grub to work correctly and you'll be able to boot again

You're right, but after a while it will get corrupted again. I did the repair too, it worked on first boot, but right after Windows booting it started again. Windows is throwing bombs at the EFI partition for some reason ever since Windows 11/recent 10 updates came out. I think that some kind of new technology implemented with 11 and latest 10 updates is bricking Ubuntu and Grub. A year ago, this never happened, ever.

Note: OR it's a grub package issue, I see reports in Grub2 bug tracker that point towards this

Someone online says Gigabyte support provided them with version F8e which is probably what I need, but perhaps there are other unreleased beta BIOS versions. I've not had any luck with Gigabyte support yet as they so far refuse to acknowledge any BIOS exist that aren't on the support site. Finally found this thread after a lot of searching and if you happen to have access to F8e and can upload it I'd be very grateful. Wanting to enable the GC-TPM2.0 module. Thanks for your effort to maintain this thread.

stasio I have always had problems with enabling XMP in my B550 PRO AC. it have to set it like "N" times on off, on off, on off the feature to make it worked. I never complained because it worked when it was enabled.

if i enable XMP only it works(Profile 1: 3200. Default 2133), the if i go and change anyother options like virtualisation or anything else after choosing save & exit it resets itself multiple times and switches back to 2133 but the voltage remains 1.35V...

i mean WTH this has been going on since F12 and this time i cannot enable it at all.

please kindly address this issue!

Is there any info on B350/X370 bios updates? I noticed that Gigabyte's A320 got Zen 3 support the 30th of September.

I'm currently using an AB350 Gaming 3 crossflashed with the B450 Aorus Pro bios since it's the only way I can enable resizeable bar (and upgrade to Zen 3 refreshes in the future).

Flashed this BIOS and my RAM timings doesn't stick to its XMP profile. I used Crucial Ballistix 3600MHz 16-18-18 but it became 20-18-18.

So I revert back to F13 and its fine again.Will try again when F14 release comes out.

Yes, but most are pretty stable to use as daily driver. There are exceptions, but it doesn't happen often that a BIOS makes your system unusable. Even beta BIOSes are tested to a certain level, but not entirely thoroughly.

I have the X570 Master motherboard, version 1.0.

To be a 100% certain a BIOS doesn't cause problems, just wait a day after release and see if users have startup issues. If no comments, you're good to go.
