hi,
I'm just after some OC settings specific to my system for a nice 4ghz OC. I am currently getting 3.75 ghz stable previously on 1.325 volts with 500mhz fsb at 1:1 with mem for ddr2 1000mhz at 5-5-5-18 on stock hsf. The only settings I really changed were vCore to 1.325V, dram to 1.9V and mch to 1.2V. However as i got my new hsf and wanting to bump it up, I'm having problems getting stable at 4ghz (i'm just bumping up the vcore to about 1.38) and I think it may be either volts or memory settings related. I tried some settings i found elsewhere and got this board running fine at 4ghz on only 1.3V vCore (was 1.25 under load). It OCCTed for 1hr but failed to even start Crysis Harbour/Assult demo loop benchmark =(.
Specs of importance are as follows:
cpu: e8500 e0 VID 1.25
hsf: xigmatek S1283
ram: 2x http://www.corsair.com/_datasheets/T...096-6400C5.pdf (i.e. 4 sticks of 2gb ddr2 800 currently OC to 1000mhz @ 5-5-5-18)
psu: corsair 620w
vga: 4870x2 @ stock (constant 50% fan speed)
rest: 1 hdd, 1 dvd-r, ~5 120mm case fans (3 in, 2 out), antec 300 case
I believe i have a fairly decent system and i just need some settings to guide me to a nice 4ghz stable oc please! my system at 3.75ghz is only 45 deg C under full load with the new hsf (from 63 deg C with stock hsf) @ 25 deg C ambient temps.
My settings for 3.75Ghz are as follows and I'm running latest F10 bios. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated from gurus.
