  • MBO GA-EP45-DS3 setup

    Since 2 days ago , i was wrote about some problems with RAID. Now i know what the problem was so i change MBO. Thats ok now.
    Anyway , i like to have most i can have from my PC , so i need help to make best BIOS setup. I will flash BIOS with newest vers. , and here is components of my PC:

    - MBO GA-EP45-DS3P
    - CPU quad 6600
    - RAM 2+2 g kingston DDR2 / 800Mhz PC-6400 / CL6
    - graf GEFORCE 8400 GS 256MB DDR2 64 bit PCiE
    - 2xSATA HDD RAID for stripe

    I will use this PC for audio recording (cubase) and i will use extern audio card (focusrite saphire fw).
    MBO have Fw , but I will install another card for Fw because i need TI chip and there is no information about this Fw on MBO.

    Now , can you , please , help me to set Bios for best performance.
    I will install WINXP SP2 / 32 bit.

    Are you looking to overclock your PC, or just to find the optimal settings for your Memory etc, so that you have stability?

    There are some settings that have a big impact on stability. In the M.I.T. section of the bios:-

    1) "Performance Enhance" = Standard
    2) tRFC "Refresh To Act Delay" = 54

    Especially for 4GB of ram.
    GA-P35C-DS3R Rev2.0 F11 bios, E8200 (@3.0Ghz), OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 Reaper 4GB (@1200Mhz), Xonar D1, 8800GTS 512, Corsair HX520 (Single 12volt line, Max 40A), WDC 3200aaks/5000aaks in AHCI mode, Vista 64 Premium.

      Let me have what you are using so I can see what CPU speed you are running and I will advise optimal settings for you >>>>

        I just need my PC to be stabile . There's no need (i think) for me to overclock PC.
        Anyway , because i dont really understand all of setup in BIOS , i belive that it could be some mistakes for my config.
        That is why i need Youre help. To set my PC work properly, not extreme, but more efficient in some normal state. If You can understand me, (because of my pur language)
        then You are for shure enough bright to help me :-) , uhh , i will lern more and more...
