  • Gigabyte EP45-DS3R question

Im new at building a pc and i just recently bought one. Gonna test out my cpu/motherboard and psu incase theres problems (7 day store warranty). Just wondering if I need to flash to the latest bios for my setup. Im not planning to overclock or anything, just reading all these things about how its stuck at a reboot loop scares me :X Some advice :) Again im not planning to overclock :)

My specs will be (once i get all my parts)

    Gigabyte EP45-DS3R
    Intel Duo Core E8400 3ghz
GSkill DDR2-800 CL46400 4GB 2x2gb (I dunno whats DIMM or if i need to set that up :X) (will use Kingstong KVR667D2N5K2 for my test 2GB 2x1GB)
Palit Radeon HD4850 (Nvidia 8600GT for test)
    Seagate 750GB 32MB
    Corsair 520W

EDIT: Do i need to install standoffs if i'm building out of the chasis (testing parts out incase DOA)
