  • Hard to enter BIOS after RAID0 setup

    I have a question regarding my 965P-DS3 rev3.3.

After installing a RAID0 array (turning on the BIOS options for RAID), I now have a VERY difficult time getting into the mobo's BIOS.

When the first screen comes up prompting to hit delete to enter setup, i can hit DEL repeatedly but it only gets recognized perhaps 1 in 4 times. The other times it quickly proceeds to the RAID BIOS screen and then loads the OS.

Is there a way to make this easier?

When your system first beep, than you can hit del several times, no need waiting screen shows hit del.

    it will be faster.

Yes, I wasn't clear in my first post.

There isn't ANY timing I can do that reliably gets me into the PC's BIOS with RAID enabaled.

Even if I begin pushing the DEL key over and over before power is even applied it will not enter the BIOS screen.

Is this an issue with USB keyboards?

I have a work around for this issue. I got a USB to PS2 adapter and am now using the keyboard thru the PS2 port.

Two different USB keyboards would not work (did not catch the DEL keypress) despite having USB keyboard enabled in BIOS.
