Hello,
I have just brought F3-17000CL11Q-16GBSR RAM for a system that I am putting together, but upon putting my system specs into pcpartpicker I found an incompatibility that I wanted to ask about.
It says: "The G.Skill Sniper Gaming Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory operating voltage of 1.6V exceeds the Intel Haswell CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum."
I am looking to use an Intel Core i5-4670k with an Asus z97 pro motherboard - and wanted to ask if the RAM I have chosen is compatible with my processor, and whether the RAM voltage being higher than the Haswell recommended voltage will cause any short/long term issues.
Regards,
Paris
