  • Another ASUSer here :-)

Just a note to say hi to everyone at TT. I know Raja and Mason are helping out loooooads with support, whereas I'm working from the Taiwan HQ (yes I know Cam here) to give you all updates on our latest launches direct to your forum. :D

I also handle @ASUSHardware twitter and cover ROG Facebook and ASUS Facebook pages along with a few more team members :)

Next release due: ASUS FM1/A75 boards in the next few days :D

Asus, I have a question please. Are you coming out with something similar to this...

without knowing anything, I think you can be fairly sure that ASUS will come with that to within the near future - would surprise me a lot if not :)

                  Re: Another ASUSer here :-)

Every LGA1155 motherboard should already "support" PCI-E 3.0 because the PCI-E controller comes from the CPU. The reason why is because the lanes and interface are identical between PCI-E 2.x and 3.0. The companies announcing it now are just doing it for a marketing gimmick - they know you can't test it. Once Ivy Bridge arrives with PCI-E 3.0 every board now should support i.

What I do find remarkable is that others can claim PCI-E 3.0 support though considering final silicon (CPU and GPU) isn't even available yet. Their QA process must be "light" to say the least. Once we fully test and assure the hardware works with PCI-E 3.0 CPUs and graphics cards, then we'll announce our support I'd imagine.
