optiarc dvd rw ad-7241s not detected?

The cdrw has been working and is only 6mths old in a rampage iii gene bios 0501 raid0
The cdrw is not detected during boot but appears ok in Device Manager I am running Win 7 64 Any Ideas i have been researching this for a couple of days now

Have you tried changing the SATA cable and connecting to a different SATA port? When in Windows are you able to use the drive, along with it showing up in Device Manager?

apologies I thought I had replied that I found a solution, it involved using System Restore but I could not be certain which program caused it but registry cleaner seems likely.
