Hi All,
I'm unable to access the management console on a brand new E3C236D2I.
The BMC heart beat light is beating and the network port flashes as other network traffic happens. However, in the BIOS mgmt screen and using ipmitool the MAC Address for the IPMI is zero'ed out. Setting a static IP does not bring the port up, as presumably it's failing to make a basic Ethernet connection so doesn't even get to the point of setting up IP.
I've not done any updates or other customisation of the BIOS settings.
Otherwise the board seems to be working.
Before RMA'ing this, is there a way to reset or otherwise force the MAC Address on the BMC? Or is this actually a hardware fault?
Thank you for any guidance.
/Tim
