  • Just updated ASRock Z68 Pro3 Gen3 to BIOS 2.30 and Windows no longer boots - HELP!

I just updated my BIOS on my ASRock Z68 Pro3 Gen3 from 1.10 (I think) to 2.30 and Windows 7 (64 bit) fails to start. Not sure where to go from here. I tried flashing to an older BIOS, but it won't recognize anything older than 2.10. Windows tried a system repair that accomplished nothing. My processor is an i5-2500k that I was looking to overclock for the first time.

    Any ideas?

    UPDATE:
    Reinstalled Windows. Everything works now.

    Dear FireProof,

Maybe it relate with BIOS of SATA mode selection.
If update BIOS it will returns to BIOS default value.
Assume your HDD is install at IDE mode, please also check the BIOS >Advanced>SATA mode selection after BIOS update.

Anyway, we glad your system can work now.
    thank you.
