  • AsRock Z77E-ITX Southbridge strange behaviour: noise instead of sound

Hi everybody and greetings from Italy!

When I play anything audio (either Windows sounds or MP3 songs), instead of sound I have only noise: when the song starts I ear the noise level increasing and I see the sound level bars moving up and down and, when the song stops, the noise level stops and the sound level bars also stop.
This is the same both on the rear and on the front analog connector.
It seems like something is coming out but no sound at all!

The speakers work on another PC.

I have istalled: Realtek High Definition Audio and AMD High Definition Audio Device
    PC in signature.
In the BIOS settings of the Southbridge: I have Onboard HD audio enabled (front is also enabled) while the HDMI audio is disabled.
The Onboard LAN is enabled and the LAN is working fine.

    Can you help me please?
    Thank you.

Select: Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback and check if the right device for playback is selected:
