Cannot update above BIOS v1.80 (990FX Extreme4)

    Cannot update above BIOS v1.80 (990FX Extreme4)

    Anyone knows why the 990FX Extreme4 won't update above BIOS v1.80? Keeps giving me the following message:

    ********************************************
    PI Version in SYS ROM mismatched PI Version in ROM File!
    Force update it may be destroy the System BIOS.
    We do not recommend flashing your BIOS.

    Press "Accept" button to accept AFU's recommendation.
    Press "Force" button to keep original input commands.
    Press "Quit" button to quit flash.
    ********************************************
    Could it be that my AMD Phenom II x4 980 CPU doesn't require it?

    Most likely you have download bios for wrong board revision or it's corrupt.

      negative. i got all the updates from the same page/USA board and went from v1.10 to v1.80 then I could not move up to the rest v2.00 to v2.50. everything worked up until v1.80.

        Contact ASRock Support HERE and copy and paste the above into the details/problem area
        #1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.

        #2 - Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.
