My Motherboard, which has USB 2.0 ports as standard, has started to show them as "VIA USB 3.0", and asking for the drivers, which cannot be found or installed. As far as I an aware, there has been no changed to this motherboard, and I have not deliberately downloaded any USB drivers. I can uninstall them in the Device Manager, but they reappear when the computer is restarted.
I have also deleted any references to them in the Registry, to no apparent effect.
How can I remove these rogue ports?.
I an using Windows 7 Professional 32 bit
Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers
