I recently downloaded critical updates for XP then noticed an annoying piece of work appearing on my screen "Windows Delayed Write Failed". WTF is this bull****???. I perform a lot of extractions with Winzip and every time i do this i get this message where previously i had no probs. How do i disable this piece of crap??
No announcement yet.

This means that the OS couldn't write something to the hard drive that it needed to write.
How do you get rid of it?
Fix the hard drive (that IBM isn't a 75GXP, is it?)
Or the disk controller
Or the cabling
Or stop overclocking
All hard drives use one of very few different drivers (ie there are not different drivers for different brands and models of HD, though there are differences for, for ex., IDE vs. SCSI), so several million other people are running the same HD drivers that you are. So it's unlikely to be the OS or the updates thereto.

ok Jeh, you were right. 2nd HD that i had just installed(Seagate) i had partitioned into 2 equal parts and the 1st partition was not reported right, size was to big, so fdisked and formatted and all seems to be ok....so far. thanks for your help
