  • Shutdown Damn It!

    I have WIN XP Pro. I have an ATX pc
    i click "shutdown, " and it does.
    BUT IT WONT TURN ITS SELF OFF!!
    any1 know how the hell to fix this?

    You probably need to enable your power management settings in the BIOS.
    Windows will only be able to do that if it is enabled in there.
    The reason a diamond shines so brightly is because it has many facets which reflect light.

      You could also try going to the Device Manager /
      View / show hidden devices / enable the NT APM Legacy device
      This may fix this issue.

        there is already a thread in here with the solution to this..(i cant be bothered finding it though)
        just go to control panel
        power options
        click the APM tab
        and make sure it's enabled

            My computer suddenly stopped powering off on shutdown. I went to control panel/Power Options Properties and enabled APM. That fixed it.
