as darth said - boot from cd

    select install win2k

delete partition, press D then L to confirm etc.

then select blank partiton and then win2k will ask what file system use (i alway use ntfs since its better)

I'd use the method andy mentioned if u wanted to setup partitions (u can do it from the win2k cd as well - u setup other partitions when windows is loaded)

    4. type fdisk at the "a:" prompt, delete the partiton and add it again.
    5. close fdisk
    6. take out the boot floppy, and put in the windows cd rom and reboot and it will start the re install. but first you need to set the BIOS to read the cd drive first

Isn't that what I said just above? :?:

If you set your BIOS to read your CD drive first when booting, then you can boot from the installation disk. Once there, you should be able to find choices that will allow for you to reformat the drive and install Win2k fresh.

Or worst case... you can use an old Win98 boot disk and remove the NTFS partition, then re-partition the drive and format it that way. Then, when you are installing the Win2k OS, you can tell it to format the partition as NTFS from there.

Either way should work out fine.

    Good luck. :)
