I have to say Vista is the best OS Microsoft has ever created.
Why well it was XP, but then I found out how buggy and how many glitches there are that you just don't find in Vista.
I just can't believe people have so many problems with Vista. It has been rock solid for me and of course I have a new computer and it is way faster than XP ever has been.
Less crashes, less spyware, more visual pop, faster response! IMO makes XP look bad.
I am using Vista 64 bit with 2.5gig core 2 duo with 4 gigs of ram!
Also the 64 bit works amazing with gaming to any other program I try to load on. It just works!

Geforce 9500 512mb

4 gigs DDR2 ram!
64 bit Vista Ultimate and loving it :)
It's like running Windows 95 and expect everything to work on it.
This has got to be the single most ignorant comment I have read on this subject for some time. Not only is XP 64 bit WELL supported, it would be my only choice if I was not going Vista.

Im usings XP pro 32 bit and don't really feel the need to change over to Vista. All my applications and games work fine, plus atm with SP3 XP is a very mature OS. So unless somebody can show me some benchmarks to prove that my system will get faster with Vista 64 bit I don't see the point of swtiching...

Ok well maybe some things support it, but if you have a choice between Vista 64 and XP 64 you are way better off going with Vista because it is becoming a more popular platform. XP x64 really did not take off as must as Vista did.

XP Pro 64bit is the best, but I would wait until Windows 7 comes out if I were to buy a new OS now. Dont throw your XP install disc away for the time being though. LOL.

Mine is Windows XP. Definitely. Its just that my laptop has Vista as an operating system, and I am not use in using Vista, I hate changes, I have gotten use already to Windows XP, still Im learning the new one.
Windows XP is the best os. because it's produced by microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, and media centers. It was released in 2001. The name "XP" is short for "eXPerience".
More like eXtinct. XP is on life support and the plug is about to be pulled. Now that Vista has a friendlier name with 7, people will make the change. Otherwise, look at the tread starting dates and the lack of responses for well over a year. Let old threads die.....
