Just thought I'd post up my benchmark. I know it's not the program you all use but it's free. System memory is not correct. It was 6gb (3x2gb kingston)

      Re: 5770 crossfire

Here you go. sorry bout the blue background. I think maybe some more ram and a faster cpu would help it

I didn't think it was to bad considering i'm running ddr2 800mhz and 2.3ghz cpu. Compared to the new single version http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/456...ew/index3.html

        Re: 5770 crossfire

is that the max res of your screen? i tested at 1680x1050 with 4x aa fullscreen and i scored 874 points with a 5870 which supposed to be two 5770's performance wise, would be interesting to see if this holds true oh and tesselation was set to normal

          Re: 5770 crossfire

I'm not sure on the max res. Doesn't it also depends on ram and cpu though.. I also have a 5870 (2gb eyefinity 6 version). With furmark, the crossfire 5770 gets better scores even though it has less ram and a slow quad core instead of a 6 core. I must admit i know nothing about benchmarking
I cant retest as that pc BSOD last night because of ram and i had to restore to recover windows

            Re: 5770 crossfire

you need to find out if you monitor supports 1680x1050,then test with unigine with those settings i used above, but with 5770 xfire, sorry to be a pain just interested to see if its better/worse than a single 5870 1gb,as for your 5870 it will leave the 5770's behind at higher resolutions i think, its because its not having chance to stretch its legs at that res, where as the 5770's are more suited

EDIT,as for cpu's it doesnt matter too much, depends howmany cores/threads the benching software uses,if it uses a max of two or four cores, single threads then it doesnt matter if you used an 8core cpu scores would be similar, faster and more ram would help though

              Re: 5770 crossfire

I'll have a go at that later. It may be a bit of mucking around as i need to download/install again and maybe swap monitors for the test..
Can you tell me if the scores are cpu and ram speed related? The comparison may be irrelevant atm as you are probably using more ram and a faster cpu

                Re: 5770 crossfire

that was using my i7 920 setup at stock 2.66ghz,and 6gb of ram at 1600mhz,the scores are just the same give or take a few points on this system in sig overclocked, you might benefit from ddr3 ram but by how much idk,and dont bother testing if its too much hassle,i think your scores are fine

its mainly gpu,ram and processor adds a little but you can only go as fast as your gpu really

                    Re: 5770 crossfire

I just did two test and found ram speed makes a big difference. One test was done with 2x2gb DDR2 800 (pc2-6400) and 1x2gb of DDR2 100 (pc2-3200). Dont get me started. I bought 4x2gb and they were supposed to be all the same There was a big difference in frame rates. The min for the other was below 6.5fps. I saved it but have no idea what happened to it. May have been saved over but I would say crossfire 5770 with the same ram would be better results than 5870 ima

there should be n option to use 4x anti aliasing,it will show next to screen res 1680x1050 fullscreen(4xaa) as it affects scores if not used,it will be in the settings somewhere before you run the benchmark
