  • Nero Burning Problem: Help much appreciated

I am having problems burning CD's with Nero. I get "buffer under run," errors and "internal target failure" errors every time I try burning a CD. I logged a file for problem reference. If you may know what is wrong, please help me by responding. Any help would be much appreciated.

Just out of curiosity, did Nero correctly identify your burner?

What version of Nero are you using?

              What OS are you running?

Older versions of Nero have a problem with the original Win XP due to permissions. There is a utility file on the nero web site to fix this.

Thank you for all the help; I solved my problem

I changed BIOS master/slave settings to "none," rather than "automatic," so that windows can manage that.

I actually uninstalled the newest version of Nero Express and installed versoin 5.5.8.2 - I dont know how or why or if this had any effect on the problem, but just hearing "Nero Express," leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth after all the problems... AND about 20 coasters.
I'm sure the coffee table will appreciate that

By the way, I went to IOMEGA's website and they have a "live tech support," which kicks butt. The dude was from India and here I am in California - both interested in fixing the problem. Does anyone know of any other sites like that ? It was very helpful along with all the help I received here at the TweakTown Forum. It was seriously be awesome to setup something like that for a forum; Basically to have a chatroom for every thread!

Glad you got your problem fixed...

Several sites are now going with the live tech chat. McAfee Antivirus has had it for quite some time now too.

It's cool when it works, but I find the tech support folks sometimes to be less knowledgeable than I am.
