Re: Realtek HD Audio ! installation problem !

I found the following doing a search of your error message. Apparently it is a common error when installing software (it isn't hardware related usually and often happens when there are left-over install files from other programs).

Anyway, the advice just about everywhere I went was to do the following or something similar, which is to remove or rename your InstallShield folder and try installing again.

Follow the steps below to rename your InstallShield folder.

Use the computer’s Search function to find your InstallShield folder. (The default location for this is C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\InstallShield, but it may be different for Win 8.1)
    1. Right-click the InstallShield folder and click Rename.
    2. Type InstallShieldOld and press Enter.
    3. Now you can go ahead with installation of your product.

Oh, and make sure you empty the folder C:\Windows\Temp.
Let us know if it works.

#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.
____If you are overclocking, underclocking, or undervolting any parts, informing us of this and their values would prove beneficial in helping you.

#2 - Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.

Nice job! The OP can also show their thanks by clicking the small but visible blue "Like" button, and add to you Like count.
