    hey
    does anyone know how to easily connect my laptop with widows 7 home to my desktop with windows 7 ultimate
    the desktop is connected to the router, laptop is wireless
    i want to just leave my desktop on, be able to control it remotely with my laptop, be able to access programs on the desktop, most of all control the desktop remotely to use bittorrent and irc
    if anyone knows how to do it on windows or third party app please feel free to advise me thanks

    I think you should be able to do that using Windows' Remote Desktop.

        you can use teamviewer but the teamviewer must be open on the computer u want to control at all times

          Download Teamviewer onto both your laptop and your desktop.

          Configure your desktop as a server and your laptop can just connect by entering the id and password you set up on the desktop.

          It is really easy and takes less than ten minutes.

            LogMeIn is the best, online interface, doesn't care about firewalls. Remote desktop would be easier if you are running Windows on both and they are on the same network though, just open the firewall on the desktop computer, and set the IP to a static number like 192.168.1.123.
