Program for firewire

I am looking for a program that can be used like videowave 5 to record the input from a firewire card, you know like Sony DV Gate.. only probs wid dat 1 is its for only Sony computers anyway to make it not for sony pc's ? or another program ?

Try Adobe Premier, If you card isn't supported Adobe should have a "plug-in" that allows it to work with your card. It's the best that I've seen. Quite expensive though, more for professionals.
