  • Windows Movie Maker keeps on crashing and crashing

Like the title says. I was going to make a minimovie 1 minute and 20 seconds long. This minimovie consists of twelve really short clips (10 seconds) flashed on the screen, and there is a transition that joins one clip to the other. I have the twelve clips, and when I load them on the movie maker, it's fine.

The problem sets in when I try to arrange them. Everytime on the third clip is added to the storyboard, the program hangs and then crashes. Can anyone shed some light here?

And, is there an alternative free program that can replicate the movie maker's function?

    Thanks!

Here's what's happened. I eventually overcame the bug and I paced it really slow. Click, then save, one click, one save then check, play, proof-view and save. Make backups then work. Repeat for 3 hours. Finished!

Okay, I overcame that part. Now to export it and ship to youtube.

But export... It crashes. You know, I worked on it for three very long hours and this thing wont export my video!

    EDIT:

PROBLEM SOLVED BY DOWNGRADING MOVIE MAKER FROM v6.xx to v2.5
