  • Going insane with IE problem!

    Hey folks,

Over the past couple of days IE has started acting really strange. 80% of websites seem to cause IE to lock up for a few seconds on each load - and it makes it very annoying to work because when one IE window locks up it locks up every other IE window and website you are at.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I'm going to have to admit I haven't heard of it - where do I find it?

I haven't used IE for a long time but when this happens to someone where i work. usually the first thing I do is go to Tools.. Internet Options.. General tab... Settings.. View Objects..

that should open up the downloaded program Files folder.. look at all the stuff loaded in there looks for activex controls you don't use and anything that doesn't have a name you should pull up the properties for and see where it came from.

right-click then remove any you have no idea what they're for..

then empty your temporary internet files..

The IE repair tool also repairs OE while it's at it as both are intergrated together.
